The Mogorosi Foundation runs community programmes across four focus areas: support for local schools, care for the elderly and disabled, entrepreneurship development, and a youth-focused community centre — all rooted in Alexandra township. GNC Funeral Parlour is proud to stand behind this work.

Three public schools from Alexandra township benefit from these programmes — Alexandra High School, Carter Primary School and Ekukhanyisweni Primary School. Teachers from each school help identify the neediest learners to become permanent beneficiaries.
Quarterly donations of sanitary towels to identified learners, so our young girls stay in school throughout the school programme.
School uniform and shoes are donated twice a year — at the start of the school calendar year and again around the June holidays for winter uniform — so every learner looks and feels equal.
An annual sporting event held in Alexandra township, open to programme beneficiaries and the wider community youth.
Food parcels for learners who rely on their school for daily meals, delivered on the last day of every school term (four times a year) so access to food continues over the holidays.
The Joseph Gerard Home For The Aged, home to around 36–37 elders, is the beneficiary of this programme.
Regular grocery donations to the home, supporting the elders' day-to-day needs.
New blankets donated to the centre, so elders have access to blankets in good condition.
Bath soaps, face cloths, moisturisers and other toiletries donated from time to time.
Nappies donated to the home for those elders who require them.
Transport and sponsorship arranged for outings — parks and zoos — complete with a braai for the elders to enjoy.
A programme tailored to develop business skills for aspiring entrepreneurs in Alexandra. Local and emerging entrepreneurs with potential for development are identified and taken through a programme with strategic developmental objectives — with young people at its centre, building capacity to empower their families and communities, formalise local businesses, and help address youth unemployment.
A centre dedicated to developing and nurturing young people in Alexandra township, equipped with computers, books and other resources for easy access to information, research and social advancement. The centre also provides working space for small and emerging entrepreneurs who need it for their day-to-day business.
